Terms of use
OwnLetter is a free, independent editorial site that compares newsletter platforms. By using it you accept these terms. They are short because the deal is simple: we publish research, you read it, nobody pays us but the platforms whose links you may click.
Effective date: June 10, 2026 · Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Who we are
The site is published by Arthur Brulard, individual entrepreneur (micro-entrepreneur) registered in france, under the trade name OwnLetter. Full identification, including our host, is on the legal notice.
2. Editorial content, not professional advice
Everything on this site is editorial opinion built on research, measured data, and first-hand testing. It is not legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a guarantee that a platform will work for your specific situation.
Newsletter platforms change their pricing, features, and terms constantly; that is precisely why we track them. Even so, always verify current pricing and terms on the vendor's own site before you commit. Where our data has a collection date, the date is part of the claim.
3. Affiliate links
Many outbound links are paid affiliate links: if you sign up through them, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Which programs, what rates, and the firewall between commissions and rankings are documented on how we make money. Vendor sites you reach through our links have their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
4. What you may do with our content
You may read, link to, and quote short excerpts of our content with attribution and a link to the source page. You may not republish whole pages or datasets, scrape the site at scale, or reuse our content commercially without prior written permission.
Platform names and logos remain trademarks of their respective owners, used here to identify the products under review.
5. Comments
Comments are moderated before publication. By submitting one, you allow us to display it on the relevant page with the name you provided, and you confirm it is yours. You keep ownership of what you write.
We reject or remove comments that are spam, defamatory, unlawful, contain someone else's personal information, or are fake reviews (including undisclosed vendor-employee comments). We may decline to publish any comment at our discretion. To have your published comment removed, email contact@ownletter.com.
6. No warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
We work hard to keep data accurate and dated; we do not promise perfection, and vendors can change things between our checks.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from decisions made based on its content, including a platform choice that does not work out. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France, where the publisher is established. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
